Who we are

VedgeOut is a trading name operated by Rory Cardy, a UK sole trader. For data protection purposes, that's the entity responsible for your information (the "data controller," if you want the technical term).

What we collect

When you order or contact us: your name, email, delivery and billing address, phone number (optional), your order details, and anything you message us. We never handle your card details directly, our checkout and payment providers do that securely.

How we use it

To process and fulfil your order (including passing your delivery details to our fulfilment partner), keep you updated, reply to you, and meet our legal obligations like tax record-keeping. With your consent, we'll also send marketing emails once we introduce them. You can opt out any time.

We rely on: our contract with you, legitimate business interests (service, fraud prevention, record-keeping), legal obligations (tax), and your consent (marketing, where used).

Who we share it with

A small number of trusted providers who help us run VedgeOut: our ecommerce and payments platform, our fulfilment partner, and our customer service tools. We never sell your information. As we grow, we may add tools like email marketing or a CRM and we'll update this policy if we do.

Where it's processed

Some providers may store or process data outside the UK. Where that happens, we make sure proper safeguards are in place, like UK-approved standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep it

Order and transaction records: 6 years, per UK tax rules. Marketing details: until you unsubscribe or ask us to stop.
